How we started
Work began to open Flicker Bar and Arcade on Feb, 22 2018. Doors Opened to the public and business began day to day operations on November 1st 2018. The idea was to create a playable museum for adults to enjoy themselves in a relaxed nostalgic vibe reminiscent of the mall arcades that adorned our country in the late 90’s. The facility was the palace domino bar in 1947 and was only right to return it to a place for gaming.
What we do Now
The Flicker Bar is devoted to bringing back the best parts of the arcade combined with a stellar selection of beer, wine, and other beverages and arcade snacks. Games range from the 1970’s through the early 2000’s including standup arcade cabinets, air hockey, racers, sticker and candy vending machines, and even vintage consoles. Our concert stage features some of the best up and coming local musical talent. When you visit Flicker, you will encounter games you haven’t seen for 20 years, microbrews from the best undiscovered local breweries, and music that you may have never heard before.
The games are operated by quarters and entry is usually free. Games range from the 1970’s through the early 2000’s including standup arcade cabinets, air hockey, racers, sticker and candy vending machines, and even vintage consoles.
